- I was born in Bedford, Va.
- I move to Richmond, Va. for college years ago and just never left.
- My middle name is Christine.
- I am a Pisces, all the way.
- I have snorkeled in Haiti.
- I am a sergeant in the Virginia Army National Guard.
- I work them full time as a Broadcast Journalist.
- It might be the best job ever.
- I was deployed to Kosovo from November 2006 – November 2007.
- I had to take time off from college to deploy, obviously, and have just recently started taking classes again.
- It’s been a little scary.
- I’m a Sociology major. And I love it.
- Popcorn is my favorite food.
- I’m not religious, but I am spiritual.
- I have great big brown eyes that are, in my opinion, my best asset.
- I want to save the world.
- My favorite holiday is Halloween, which, incidentally, is my husband’s birthday.
- After years of being indecisive, I’ve finally settled on a favorite color – green.
- I can’t swim.
- Or ride a bike.
- My feet have to be uncovered when I fall asleep. If they’re covered I get overheated.
- Due to an unreasonable fear of vampires and ear-dwelling spiders I developed in childhood, I have to sleep with either my hair, or a blanket covering my neck and my ears.
- I only like eggs scrambled or boiled (or deviled, but I think that counts as a sub-category of boiled).
- I love Ben & Jerry’s Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ice Cream.
- If I could, I would wear my black, $10, American Eagle flip-flops all year round.
- I don’t eat any seafood at all. I think it’s gross. All of it.
- Every single time I go to Olive Garden, I get the exact same thing – soup (always, always, always the minestrone), salad and bread sticks.
- I will never die of a sodium deficiency because I put salt on and in everything I eat.
- I still love fairy tales.
- I got married in Las Vegas because I’m cool like that.
- My favorite flower is the tulip.
- I have five tattoos.
- It’s possible that I’m mildly obsessive compulsive.
- I was 17 the last time I got a tattoo.
- I rarely drink soda.
- If my handwriting is messy on my grocery list, I rewrite it. And then I feel guilty for wasting paper.
- From birth to age eleven, I lived on farms.
- I’ve been attacked by an angry, possibly hungry rooster.
- I have no sense of direction. But I can find my way on a map. Usually.
- I love driving by myself, windows rolled all the way down and music blaring.
- I was born March 12, 1984.
- I have a dog named Sadie.
- She’s a Husky and absolutely wonderful.
- I’m Italian (and some other stuff too).
- I’m 5′6″.
- All I’ve ever wanted is one more inch so I could be 5′7″.
- I really love trashy tabloid magazines.
- At one point in my life I helped make maple syrup from scratch.
- In December ‘08 my husband and I became homeowners.
- Our house was built in 1924.
- Since we bought it, I’ve become obsessed with all things domestic.
- I finally quit smoking after 10 years on May 1, 2009.
- It wasn’t nearly as hard as I thought it would be. I was just ready to quit, I guess.
- I wish I lived closer to an Ikea.
- In my opinion, I’m pretty handy.
- I love finally living in a house and being able to have a garden.
- I’m a big fan of bright colors.
- I love inappropriate and offensive comedy.
- I think humor is one of the best ways to bring uncomfortable subjects out into the open.
- Everyone thinks I was a goth kid in high school, but I think that’s too narrow of a category for me. I was just a mistfit.
- I could eat Chinese Food every single day and not get tired of it.
- If I could, I would spend all of my time either on vacation, or planning for vacation.
- I lived on a farm growing up.
- Because of that, I’ve seen all sorts of animals be born. Sheep, cats, dogs, cows.
- I’ve also seen both chickens and ducks hatch.
- For the record, ducks are better animals than chickens.
- I’m kind of a dork.
- And I’m totally okay with that.
- I loved to run when I was a kid.
- But then I had knee surgery when I was 13 and I just sort of stopped running.I
- I’m sort of obsessed with the Sims 3.
- In fact, I’ve considered taking a day off work just so I can play it.
- I love reading.
- Third Eye Blind is one of my most favorite bands of all time. Just because all their songs are relevant to my life in some sort of crazy way.
- I can pick things up with my feet.
- It freaks some people out.
- I hate East Coast seagulls.
- But not West Coast seagulls.
- Trust me, there is a difference.
- I have absolutely no desire to have children.
- Although I recognize the fact that at some point I might change my mind and want a whole brood.
- At this point though, my clock is not ticking. At all.
- I will probably stay in the military until they make me leave.
- Because I love it and because I’m a glutton for punishment.
- It took me a long time to come to terms with the fact that I’m just NOT a girly-girl.
- Although I do like the color pink.
- And glitter.
- My favorite season is either Spring or Fall.
- It’s definitely not Winter or Summer.
- I used to hate wine and now it’s the only thing I drink.
- I can’t totally relax at home unless my house is clean.
- Which makes me feel sort of crazy.
- I met my husband through the Army.
- We actually work together.
- That means I’m with him on average of 23 hours of every day, which might make some couples crazy, but works quite well for us.
- We’re weird like that, I guess.
- I totally addicted to my crackberry.
- If I win the lottery, I’m totally moving to San Francisco.
- Because I love it there.
