“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square hole. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”

We tested out a dog we were thinking about adopting yesterday but sadly it didn’t work out.  SadieMutt is super hyper and totally relentless when it comes to playing and the almost-dog, who has abuse in her past, spent quite a bit of her time here totally overwhelmed and shaking, espeically after a disagreement over a tug toy.  Oh well.

That quote is seriously so awesome.

maybe sadie is meant to have an equally hyper playmate so that they can tire each other out. i’m not sure how you feel about having two rambunctious puppies. it’ll be double the cuteness!

We had the same problem when we started looking at pups to bring home as our second dog. Good luck, you’ll find a dog who fits in well, it just takes a little time!

We ended up with a Corgi who is everything the hyper Border Collie X was (is) not–calm, stubborn, built like a tank, and happy playing second-in-command to her. They suit each other well; she is nutty and likes to play hard, he is physically up to the challenge, but mentally laid back (so he doesn’t mind all her macho-ness). So, sometimes opposites attract, I suppose.

Also–and I’m sure you know this already, it’s just worth mentioning again–usually females get along best with males, so maybe SadieDog is just holding out on you so she gets a boyfriend.
