  1. “All changes, even the most longed for, have their melancholy; for what we leave behind us is a part of ourselves; we must die to one life before we can enter another.” – Anatole France
  2. “Listen, are you breathing just a little and calling it life?” – Mary Oliver
  3. “I see it all perfectly; there are two possible situations – one can either do this or that. My honest opinion and my friendly advice is this: do it or do not do it – you will regret both. – Søren Kierkegaard
  4. “Your life would be very empty if you had nothing to regret.” – Unknown
  5. “Everyone has talent. What is rare is the courage to follow that talent to the dark places where it leads.” – Jong
  6. “The world breaks everyone and afterward many are strong in the broken places.” – Ernest Hemingway; A Farewell to Arms
  7. “If two people love each other there can be no happy end to it.” – Ernest Hemingway; Death in the Afternoon
  8. “The very fact that the jaguar can become extinct while the Pekingese survives indicates to me that someone hasn’t thought this thing through.” – A. Whitney Brown
  9. “It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live.” – Albus Dumbeldore in Harry Potter & the Soceror’s Stone
  10. “Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” – Mark Twain
  11. “Kindness is in our power, even when fondness is not.” – Samuel Johnson
  12. “So many people tiptoe through life, so carefully, to arrive, safely, at death.” – Jermaine Evans
  13. “Have you ever been in love? Horrible isn’t it? It makes you so vulnerable. It opens your chest and it opens up your heart and it means that someone can get inside you and mess you up. You build up all these defenses, you build up a whole suit of armor, so that nothing can hurt you, then one stupid person, no different from any other stupid person, wanders into your stupid life…You give them a piece of you. They didn’t ask for it. They did something dumb one day, like smile at you, and then your life isn’t your own anymore. Love takes hostages. It gets inside you. It eats you out and leaves you crying in the darkness, so simple a phrase like ‘maybe we should be just friends’ turns into a glass splinter working its way into your heart. It hurts. Not just in the imagination. Not just in the mind. It’s a soul-hurt, a real gets-inside-you-and-rips-you-apart pain. I hate love”. – Neil Gaiman
  14. “I wanted a perfect ending. Now I’ve learned, the hard way, that some poems don’t rhyme, and some stories don’t have a clear beginning, middle, and end. Life is about not knowing, having to change, taking the moment and making the best of it, without knowing what’s going to happen next. Delicious ambiguity.” – Gilda Radner
  15. “As a well-spent day brings happy sleep, so life well used brings happy death.” – Leonardo da Vinci
  16. “We are not made strong enough to stand up against endless grief. And yet pain is the constant drone of life. So if we are to have any happiness at all, it is only in the passing instant.” – Will Cooper in Thirteen Moons by Charles Frazier
  17. “I believe that imagination is stronger than knowledge — myth is more potent than history — dreams are more powerful than facts — hope always triumphs over experience — laughter is the cure for grief — love is stronger than death.” — Robert Fulghum
  18. “We are all a little weird and life’s a little weird, and when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall in mutual weirdness and call it love.” — Source Unknown
  19. “There comes a point in your life when you realize who matters, who never did, who won’t anymore, and who always will.  So don’t worry about people from your past, there’s a reason why they didn’t make it to your future.”
  20. “Women need real moments of solitude and self-reflection to balance out how much of ourselves we give away” – Barbara De Angelis
  21. “To be successful you have to be dumb enough to think you can change the world and smart enough to know how.” –Clint Borgen.
  22. “Time is of the essence when you’re manic, you MUST GET THINGS DONE, anything, everything, and you must DO IT IN TIME, the White Rabbit dashing about looking at his pocket watch, I’m late! I’m late! The world won’t stop for me and I have to catch it before it goes flying by and I MISS MY CHANCE to be INCREDIBLE. There is a deadline on incredibility and the clock is ticking away.” -Marya Hornbacher, Wasted
  23. “Begin doing what you want to do now. We are not living in eternity. We have only this moment, sparkling like a star in our hand-and melting like a snowflake.” – Marie Beyon Ray
  24. “You have been my friend. That in itself is a tremendous thing. I wove my webs for you because I liked you. After all, what’s a life, anyway? We’re born, we live a little while, we die. A spider’s life can’t help being something of a mess, with all this trapping and eating flies. By helping you, perhaps I was trying to lift up my life a trifle. Heaven knows anyone’s life can stand a little of that.” — Charlotte, Charlotte’s Web by E.B. White
  25. “Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square hole. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.” — Apple Computer Inc.

As I look back on those days, I realize how much I truly miss you and how much I truly love you. The past may be gone forever..and whatever the future holds, our todays make the memories of tomorrow. So, my lifetime friend, it is with all my heart that I send you my love, hoping that you’ll always carry my smile with you, for all we have meant to each other and for whatever the future may hold.” — Author Unknown
  33. “It isn’t the mountain ahead that wears you out; it’s the grain of sand in your shoe.” — Anonymous
  34. “If winter is slumber and spring is birth, and summer is life, then autumn rounds out to be reflection. It’s a time of year when the leaves are down and the harvest is in and the perennials are gone. Mother Earth just closed up the drapes on another year and it’s time to reflect on what’s come before.” –Mitchell Burgess
  35. “Grow old along with me. The best is yet to be.” – Robert Browning
  36. “As to dancing, my dear, I never dance, unless I am allowed to do it in my own peculiar way. There is no use trying to describe it: it has to be seen to be believed. […] Did you ever see the Rhinoceros, and the Hippopotamus, at the Zoological Gardens, trying to dance a minuet together? It is a touching sight.” — Lewis Carroll
  37. “No one dances sober, unless he is insane.” — Cicero
  38. “Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could; some blunders and absurdities have crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; you shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense.”  — Ralph Waldo Emerson
  39. “From the backstabbing co-worker to the meddling sister-in-law, you are in charge of how you react to the people and events in your life. You can either give negativity power over your life or you can choose happiness instead. Take control and choose to focus on what is important in your life. Those who cannot live fully often become destroyers of life.” — Anais Nin

perfect !!!!! i had an unforgiving wife. but that is her journey, her lesson. this life. she lost me and she ditched a whole load of friends along the way – just because…….she can’t find it in her heart to forgive. not condemning her – just recognising that her soul journey is diff from mine.
